Maths Learning Mentor

- Minimum 2:1 degree
- Long-term role, Monday to Friday hours
- £300 a week

This role is a great opportunity for a talented maths graduate to inspire young people to get excited about and be more confident with maths. Day-to-day, the role will require you to deliver pre-planned work to small groups of students or on a 1:1 basis, as well as assisting the class teacher with classroom activities. The role is exciting and varied with the potential of gaining more responsibility and eventually organising and delivering your own booster sessions.
The perfect candidate for this role will have a 1st class of 2:1 degree in mathematics or other related degree and will have a keen interest in supporting and empowering students to be the best they can be. You will need to be patient and resilient, with an outgoing and enthusiastic personality. In addition, you will need to have a commitment to a career in education.
The school has a caring, welcoming and inclusive ethos, with significant experience training and developing graduates to move into teaching. Our schools are always excited to welcome a new members of staff that can bring another dimension to their school environment and broad range of subjects, with room to potentially develop into a teacher training role or permanent position. You will be given second-to-none training and have your own mentor throughout the year.
