So what does the role involve?

As General Manager your key role will be to lead and inspire your team, putting the customer at the centre of everything you do!

You will be working in a fast paced environment where you will be responsible for delivering on goals and working towards the growth of your unit.

Living and breathing my clients values, you will offer innovative solutions for the customer shopping experience as well as demonstrating a passion for home living, building relationships with the customers with a multichannel approach. With first class customer service at the businesses core, this will be a key motivating factor for you as a potential candidate.

You will coach and recruit like-minded individuals who share the same values as my client, ensuring their development as co-workers by creating a positive working environment.

What qualities will you need for this role?

Retail large single site store management/leadership or regional leadership experience is essential. (Backgrounds that may work for this role are supermarkets, Department stores, DIY, home, general merchandise/large regional leadership roles).

We are looking for authentic, confident individuals with experience in a fast paced environment.

  • Curious personalities will be interested in this role as national and international experience will be gained.

  • You are able to inspire co-workers to create physical and visible changes that contribute to a consistent, seamless and positive customer experience.

  • You are passionate about the customer and curious about home furnishing and how it can improve everyday life. You are able to demonstrate where you have delivered on both qualitative and quantitative goals.

  • You must have national mobility within the UK&IE.

  • Training Stores likely to be In the North / Central or London/South for each hire, but this is not where you will be appointed after training.

  • You will thrive outside of a corporate retail environment and relish the opportunity to have full autonomy to build a 3-5 year business plan shaped by you and your senior team.

  • Degree educated is preferred but not essential.
