Our client based in Stonehouse is a rapidly growing organisation which includes the manufacture of PVC and Aluminium Windows and Doors, Glass Sealed Units, Conservatories and unique Specialist Aluminium products including Bifold doors.

They are looking for a Technical Services Engineer to join their busy Commercial Department.

Reporting to the Commercial/Customer Services Manager the primary role will be to offer support to customers regarding any product technical matters across the company. This will include technical support and complaint resolution.

Please note that industry knowledge or construction sector knowledge would be an advantage to successful candidate.

Job description

•Develop a detailed knowledge of all company products and services.

•Offer customers advise on any technical matters relating to;

oThe company’s product range

oRelevant building regulation advice

oGeneral installation advice relating to our products

oTelephone or site advice on rectification of product faults

•Attending site to inspect reported faults and preparing comprehensive responses detailing causes of problems and suggested actions to rectify.

•Liaising with departmental managers to secure correct resources required for remedial visits.

•Maintaining records on the Customer Service Log relating to findings.

•It is expected that approx four days per week may be required out of the office to attend sites or customer premises.

•Support sales, customer services and installation teams with technical support

•Liaise with subcontract installers to conduct remedial works

•Attend site visits to resolve more complex installation problems

•Work with FENSA or DGCOS in the event of customer complaints

Required skills;

•Be able to talk confidently and courteously to customers so that they have confidence that their issues are being dealt with. This also includes the ability to diffuse potentially hostile situations amicably.

•Professional Customer Service skills

•Be highly organised with a systematic approach

•Ability to able to cope with technical information

•Goodcommunication skills (written and oral)

•Ability to work to deadlines

•Self motivated with a positive attitude

•Enjoy responsibility

This position is a full time, permanent role Monday to Friday and paying c£20k depending upon experience.
