The role

This role is demanding yet rewarding, requiring successful candidates to be highly confident in decision making under pressure, liaising all departments on shift. This role can involve working at heights and in confided spaces. Operating over a fixed nights 4 on 4 off shift pattern, inclusive of holidays, training and company benefits.

The Candidate

Our client is seeking; a time served, formally trained Maintenance Electrical or Multi Skilled Maintenance Engineer ideally from an FMCG, Automations or manufacturing background.

Electrically trained or Multi-Skilled, you will be proficient within, motors, pumps, variable drives, pneumatics, conveyor systems, PLC Siemens packages


Responsibilities

Daily maintenance activities

  • Participating as a member of the shift team, investigating and improving processes, product and quality related issues.
  • Electro-mechanical and PLC fault-finding upon Siemens S7
  • Problem analysis and continuous improvements, OEE and flow line Data capture
  • Production and Utilities Maintenance
  • Participating as a member of the shift team, investigating and improving processes, product and quality related issues.

    Successful Candidates will require

  • NVQ 3 (Minimum) Ideally ONC, HND, apprentice trained or equivalent
  • Electrical or Multi Skilled Maintenance background within FMCG / automated manufacturing
  • Demonstrable expertise in component and sub-system fault finding and reporting
  • Mechanical knowledge of hydraulics, pneumatics, gearboxes, valves, pistons.
  • Ability to read and interpret electrical drawings
  • Some mechanical theory would be of an advantage for this role
