Digital Acquisition Marketing Manager

Our client is the UK's Number 1 Heating Oil Marketplace

For the 1.5 million UK homes who depend on oil for heating and hot water, they help hundreds of thousands of them get a better price and a more convenient service by connecting them impartially with nearly all of the suppliers in the market.

They provide a valuable service and this, coupled with their excellent customer service means that they have high levels of loyalty and have opportunities to extend their relationship.

The business is profitable and is investing for growth; through growing market share in the UK by investing in Marketing, product enhancement and international expansion

Role Overview:

This role reports into the CMO and is responsible for managing all of their Performance Marketing channels to:

·Acquire new customers

·Drive qualified visitors to our website and apps

·Re-engage visitors who don’t convert so that they convert down the line

Role in more detail:

  • ·Lead their Digital Acquisition Marketing (PPC, Affiliate Marketing, Display, Re-marketing, Paid Social)
  • Develop the strategy and plan
  • Create and manage campaigns across all channels, including developing a clear structure for the clients PPC campaigns, ad groups and keywords
  • Build custom audiences at an advanced level, e.g. for RLSA use
  • Constantly test and learn across all activity to optimise ROI
  • Seek out new and effective ways of driving growth
  • Own the tracking and evaluation of success of all Digital Acquisition Marketing
  • Own the tracking solution and ensure that they can track, de-dupe and evaluate all sales, including working closely with analytics colleagues to produce attribution analysis
  • Own the reporting of campaigns, across all KPIs, to maximise ROI
  • Generate performance insights via the use of analytical tools (mainly Google Analytics)
  • Work closely with their design, SEO and development teams to develop quality landing pages
  • Forecast and manage the Digital Acquisition Marketing budget, working closely with our Finance team
  • Act as an expert to communicate market news with key stakeholders
  • Requirements:

  • Have a proven track record of success in Digital Acquisition Marketing and ideally be:
  • Certified with both Google AdWords and Bing Ads
  • Proficient in the use of Google AdWords and Bing Ads and able to use the Google AdWords Editor
  • Strong knowledge of A/B testing
  • Highly commercially aware

  • Able to demonstrate up to date knowledge of Digital Acquisition Marketing

  • Highly numerate and analytically minded
  • Be a good team player and excellent communicator
  • Have a positive, can do attitude
  • Be self-sufficient and able to work without supervision
  • Must be able to take the initiative and get things done quickly
  • Graduate level education ideally with a Digital Marketing qualification
  • Ideally with:

    • A basic understanding of the use of scripts and business data
    • Basic knowledge of Google Tag Manager
