Brandling Court is a specialist supported living service for seventeen adults with autistic spectrum conditions. Service users have varying needs which may include a learning disability and/or mental health needs as well as a diagnosis of autism. Brandling Court is located in Middleton, with excellent bus routes to Leeds city centre and to other area’s of Leeds. We work in partnership with an excellent landlord to provide high quality housing.
We are searching for a support worker, to work in a supported living service; the building is divided into five flats and houses service users with Autism and mental health needs. The tenants live independently in their own flats and have their own tenancies. The support provided in the flats is person centred and is arranged between staff and the tenants and completed on appointment basis.
Duties would include-Supporting the tenants to complete there chosen plans for that day and at the correct time, emotional support for the tenants to ensure they maintain there well being. Staff would need to be able to follow positive behavior management plans, support plans and planners. Support worker need to be proactive in there support and in there way of working. Support workers need to be approachable and friendly and all so confident in working a lone and as part of a team.
As a service we offer you, training both mandatory and localized, regular supervision and mentoring, team meetings and support to the support staff who work at the service.
The service is commissioned by Leeds City Council to provide an autism specific supported living service. We work closely with our commissioners and the multi-disciplinary team to provide a coordinated service which achieves positive outcomes for the people we support. We are currently working with the National Autistic Society to achieve autism accreditation and we have made good progress towards this. The service is characterised by high level of service user and family involvement and we are keen to develop this further.
Our services in the Leeds area provide care to a diverse range of support types including learning disabilities, autism and additional needs relating to communication. To provide this care we require warm, motivated and person centered individuals with a keen interest in providing personalized support to meet individual care plans.
You would be part of friendly team at Brandling Court, each house has a team that work with in the house and can work across service if needed.

Previous experience within a care role is an essential requirement for this role. Additionally, new starters must attend mandatory induction courses before commencing work within our services.
