This organisation is a large public sector business based in Burnley who are seeking an experienced Payroll Officer to join the team on a temp - perm basis due to an expansion within their team.
Your new role
Your new role with this business would be primarily payroll and day to day duties will be varied including processing the end to end payroll for up to 800 employees across 7 businesses, dealing with RTI submissions, HMRC reporting alongside SSP, SMP & SPP. You will be working within a team of 4 and be reporting into the Senior Payroll Officer and the Payroll Manager.
What you'll need to succeed
To be successful in this position, you should ideally have experience working in a similar payroll position and be confident in processing high volumes of payroll. You should be competent with the payroll legislation and have a high attention to detail. The ideal candidate for this role will have the ability to take initiative and be able to hit the ground running in this busy finance team. If you have experience working on i-Trent or have previously dealt with new system implementation, this would be advantageous.

In return you will receive weekly aftercare conducted by your dedicated Hays consultant alongside weekly payment into your bank account every Friday. As before mentioned, this position is a temp - perm position.
