We are currently looking for a Assay Development Scientist to join the Assay Development team within a leading Biotechnology company in the Cambridgeshire area. As the Assay Development Scientist you will be responsible for supporting the design and execution of in vitro biological assays and support new platforms for the development of novel antibody therapeutics.

KEY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

Your duties as the Assay Development Scientist will be varied however the key duties and responsibilities are as follows:

1. You will develop and implement bioanalytical assays to support development of bispecific antibodies as well as performing experiments to further understand the mechanism of these antibodies.

2. As an Assay Development Scientist you will be responsible for operation and validation of equipment in the laboratory that is required for data analysis.

3. In your role you will support other assay development and understand new platform capabilities to support bioanalytical and biomarker analysis.

4. You will be involved in the general maintenance of the laboratory while following GLP regulations.

ROLE REQUIREMENTS:

To be successful in your application to this exciting opportunity as the Assay Development Scientist we are looking to identify the following on your profile and past history:

1. Relevant degree in a Biological related subject such as Biochemistry or Cell Biology and proven industry experience in aseptic techniques and setting up Biological and Immunological assays.

2. Working experience in structured assay design and development and hands on experience in biochemical techniques such as, but not limited to, immuno assays, Flow Cytometry, In Vitro immune cell activation assays, cell culture and work on human cell lines.

3. Knowledge in the development of antibody-based therapeutics and industry experience in a regulated environment would be beneficial to your application.
