We are currently looking for a Cell Line Development Scientist to join an exciting and rapidly expanding antibody discovery company based in the Cambridgeshire area. As the Cell Line Development Scientist you will be joining the commercial mammalian cell line development group helping to develop novel biotherapeutics.

KEY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

Your duties as the Cell Line Development Scientist will be varied however the key duties and responsibilities are as follows:

1. You will develop and optimise a mammalian expression (CHO) platform to produce commercially relevant recombinant proteins including a variety antibodies.

2. Evaluate, implement and troubleshoot new technologies including high-throughput automated cell culture systems.

3. Developing high throughput analytical technologies (Octet, icIEF, cSDS, etc.) along with molecular biology and cell cloning.

4. You will be responsible for report writing and authoring of relevant sections of regulatory submissions.

ROLE REQUIREMENTS:

To be successful in your application to this exciting opportunity as the Cell Line Development Scientist we are looking to identify the following on your profile and past history:

1. Relevant degree and ideally a PhD in a Life Science discipline along with experience working in industry producing stable mammalian cells lines.

2. Proven industry experience in biopharmaceutical expression via mammalian cell lines, ideally CHO.

3. A working knowledge and practical experience with biologics drug development and tech transfer into cGMP manufacturing would be highly desirable.
