In 2015, Chelsea and Westminster Hospital and West Middlesex University Hospital became a single Foundation Trust. We are seeking Junior Clinical Fellow in Emergency Medicine to join our team here at Chelsea and Westminster Hospital NHS Foundation Trust at the West Middlesex site.The West Middlesex site has a long history of pioneering, innovative healthcare. Based in Isleworth it is at the heart of the local community- a modern, award-winning hospital with state of the art facilities.The Accident & Emergency Department at the West Middlesex Hospital sees approximately 60,000 patients each year and offers excellent experience in a busy department. There is also an attached Urgent Care Centre which opened in March 2012. Six full time consultants, Dr M Beckett, Dr Z Mirza, Miss C. Smith, Dr. J. Cheema, Dr. Gokdogan and Dr. M. El-Askary lead the department in addition to a further 11 Middle Grade Doctors, 7 Specialist Registrars, 14 Senior House Officers and 10 GP Clinical Assistant Sessions. Although this post is not formally recognised for training purposes the successful applicant will be involved equally in the internal training opportunities. We do not distinguish between the foundation year posts and Trust Doctor Posts in terms of educational experience or working conditions. This post will be fully integrated into the activities of the department. A full shift system is in operation, compliant with the New Deal, band 1A.There is a strong emphasis on teaching (including time set aside once a week on a Tuesday afternoon, which is consultant led). Audit and research are also encouraged.We are looking to recruit immediately, therefore we may close the advert early should we receive large volume of interests.
