One of the UK's largest providers of specialist adult services in mental health rehabilitation and learning disabilities are seeking an Occupational Therapist to cover their services in Southampton.As part of their organisation you will have the chance to make a real impact on patients and their families. Person-centred planning is at the heart of everything they do, based around specific individual needs of adults in their care. They understand that consistency and continuity of care is important along with community integration.This is a great opportunity for someone who is looking to build on their experience, have exposure of working across different services and with variety of residents.In this role you will:Deliver a clinical service for a complex client group, using a range of skills to provide quality assessments and interventions within the Model of Human Occupation and according to the Valuing People principles. The role will involve delivering group and one to one sessions with the aim of supporting residents to achieve their maximum level of independence and develop community based skills.They are looking for people who have:• A degree or a postgraduate diploma in Occupational Therapy• Registration with the HCPC• Some experience of assessing and managing occupational needs with clients that have learning disabilitiesThey are looking for an enthusiastic, resilient, forward thinking Occupational Therapist to join their team.
