SisterLincolnshireFull TimeSalary up to £36,000 (negotiable)Our client is looking for an Sister who is looking to develop their nursing career within the Private Sector. As a Sister you will ensure the highest quality of practice and care through effective monitoring of own and others clinical competence. To work in a manner which reflects our clients vision.This is a full time role working 37.5hrs per week (7.5hr day working Monday - Friday between 7am and 9.30pm and alternating weekends)Duties & ResponsibilitiesThe post holder is accountable to adhere to the NMC standardsResponsibility for the area and managing the day to day operational and clinical area providing feedback to the clinical managerOrganisation of clinics to ensure smooth, efficient operationsTo be a safe practitioner in medication safety/anticoagulation training and teach othersEnsure correct labelling and transport of specimensThe post holder is accountable to adhere to the NMC standardsResponsibility for the area and managing the day to day operational and clinical area providing feedback to the clinical managerOrganisation of clinics to ensure smooth, efficient operationsTo be a safe practitioner in medication safety/anticoagulation training and teach othersEnsure correct labelling and transport of specimensProficient in Wound Care ManagementChaperoning and assisting medical staffCarry out observations, investigations and treatments as requiredClosing and opening of OPDMaintain stock levels of supplies/equipmentAdministrative duties as requiredTo adhere to HCA policies guidelines and current legislation including Health and Safety, Equal Opportunities, Infection Control Data protectionYou will need to be familiar and knowledgeable on cardiac arrest - undertake ILS/BLS trainingIt is the post holder responsibility to report to the appropriate person any accidents, defects and safety hazard in the workplace. The post-holder must comply at all times with the HCA Health and Safety policies, reporting incidents using the organisations Datix system.Skills & ExperienceSubstantial experience of working within an outpatients unit covering a broad based of specialities.Outpatient Experience is essentialRecovery Experience is desiredALS TrainedManagement ExperienceRGN with valid NMC pinAbility to manage the clinical areaUpdate and maintain professional registrationWork within the latest NMC Code of Professional ConductTo evaluate on going practices and implement changes as necessary to improve the standard within the departmentMentorship courseAbout the Individual As we cover a number of different specialities and all nurses are expected to cover these, it will be important that you are open to learning new things.
