Payroll Assistant Job based in Birmingham

Are you a motivated Payroll Assistant who is looking for a new challenge? Public Practice Recruitment are looking for a diverse individual to work as a Payroll Assistant in our client’s accountancy practice based in Birmingham.

The ideal payroll assistant will be AAT Qualified/Part Qualified and will have a minimum of 12 months payroll experience. The successful candidate will also be highly computer literate and the ability to understand payroll processes.

Our client based in Birmingham is a pro-active accountancy practice who offer accounts, taxation and business advisory services to a wide range of clients including large corporations and individuals.

The responsibilities for the Payroll Assistant job based in Birmingham include:

  • Day-to-day processing of weekly and monthly payrolls including starters, leavers, personal changes, holiday pay, statutory payments 
  • Making payments via the payroll software 
  • Offering support to the existing members of the payroll team
  • Deliver exceptional customer service through verbal and written communication 
  • Processing Auto-Enrolment payments
  • Dealing with client queries 

The successful candidate will be AAT Qualified/Part Qualified and have a minimum of 12 months’ experience of working in a payroll position.
