IT Support Engineer
Due to continued growth and increasing demand on IT, we have an exciting opportunity for an Junior IT Support Engineer to join our IT Department.
As a member of our support team, you will be responsible for providing desktop support to our staff at our Leeds office and manufacturing facility. No two days are the same and you may be dealing with Network issues, Server issues, Windows problems, Apple Mac issues or involved in one of our many new projects.
The company is looking for people who have varied skillset, are proactive, have a passion for IT, and enjoy working, educating and having a joke with their fellow colleagues.
Job Role·Providing 1st and 2nd line technical support queries professionally and efficiently·Take ownership of user problems, performing technical diagnosis and fixing issues·Documenting any calls/ issues on the ticketing system once implemented·Installation and configuration of new hardware/ software·Setting up AV and Presentation equipment when needed·Performing IT Audits·Assisting the IT Manager
Requirements·1 – 2 Years’ experience in a support role·Microsoft Office 365, 2010·Networking Knowledge – DHCP, DNS·Experience of Desktops, Laptop hardware – Windows and Apple Mac·WIFI·Windows Server 2008 and 2012·Windows 7 and 10·Active Directory·Experience of Anti-Virus products·Outstanding Communication skills·Friendly and positive manner·Organised and analytical
Desirable·Education in IT – Degree, NVQ, Apprenticeship·VMware Experience·Sage 500·ERP and CRM Systems·VOIP Phone Systems·Veeam Backups·SQL Server, Exchange 2010·Firewalls – Watchguard·Experience of Manufacturing and Warehouse environments
