The Role

Store Manager – Carphone Warehouse

Up to £27000 basic dependent on experience, plus £2,700 London weighting and uncapped bonus

Technology is transforming the world in extraordinary ways. If you’re passionate about the latest innovations, and you have ideas for how to turn a branch into something special, then you can be part of shaping that transformation here at Dixons Carphone.

Your role, as Store Manager (known as General Manager within the business) of a Carphone Warehouse store, will be to lead your team by example, providing them with all the motivation and coaching they need. Thanks to you, they will be inspired to explore technology’s full potential and will be able to help customers discover the products and services that can make a genuine difference to their lives.

A lot of it will depend on the kind of culture you are able to create. Your store needs to be full of passion and purpose – a place where colleagues share happy times and everyone loves what they do. It needs to a brilliant environment for customers too, which means ensuring your team continue to provide the impartial, expert advice we’re known for (while also making sure all that great service translates into sales).

How you achieve all that is largely down to you, although we can always be there to offer guidance and support. Deliver great work and you could find your influence travelling further and faster than you ever expected. Not only do we provide brilliant training but we’ll also give you limitless opportunities to explore – whether that means building up new areas of expertise or taking your career in a different direction, potentially even with another brand in the wider Dixons Carphone group.

So what are we looking for from you? A solid retail background is essential, given the level of autonomy on offer. In fact, you should already have shown yourself to be brilliant in a branch manager or team leader role. Like us, you’ll put the customer first, always. Also like us, you’ll be happy embracing all kinds of change. Things move fast in our business and, as a manager, you’ll need the ideas and boundary-pushing ambition to keep you and your team ahead of the game.

Above all, you have to share our passion for achieving amazing things – for our customers, colleagues and ourselves.

Bring your passion, make amazing happen.
