Diesel Engine Aftertreatment engineers needed for an excellent career opportunity with a Global Corporation.

As a result of growing demands for our client's award winning range of diesel engines and an increasing number of exciting engine development programmes, we are seeking talented engineers with a strong background in Diesel Exhaust Gas Aftertreatment.

Aftertreatment Engineer Role:

Generation of innovative engineering solutions working as part of a fast paced team to meet ever tougher demands for low emissions, excellent fuel consumption and outstanding durability.

Development and the application of engineered exhaust aftertreatment solutions across multiple engine and machine platforms, including definition and validation of detailed system and component technical specifications.

Liaison with suppliers of components such as diesel particulate filters, selective catalytic reduction components, and urea dosing systems.

System and component level specification and refinement to achieve the defined package, cost, performance and durability targets, through close liaison with external suppliers and internal stakeholders.

Planning and delivery of validation activities, testing, application guides, installation manuals and internal standards.

Organisation of component and system level tests including rig, dyno and machine fleet trials to demonstrate robustness and achieve Engineering Sign Off

Analysis of test data with conclusions and recommendations presented to peers and senior management.

Supplier management and liaison including selection, design, manufacturing, APQP and warranty reviews including 8D problem solving activities.

Work as part of a multi discipline team demonstrating flexibility and teamwork to deliver innovative products to programme timescales

Aftertreatment Engineer Requirements:

A degree (or equivalent) in an associated Engineering discipline, with a sound understanding of Mechanical Engineering principles and a strong background in diesel exhaust gas aftertreatment technologies, validation and application

Several years of experience working in a similar role with a major engine manufacturer or Tier1 supplier, with applicable experience in a range of applications, suppliers and manufacturing techniques.

Extensive knowledge and understanding of the requirements for Engineering Sign-Off for exhaust gas aftertreatment components and system
