As a Graduate learning mentor you will be based in the Maths department, assisting teachers to support the students to achieve their potential. You will provide dedicated support to a selected group of students on a daily basis who require additional support to achieve their potential, whether that is due to them currently achieving below target such as on a C/D borderline or those high achieving students who require an extra push to achieve an A*. You must b able to build effective relationships as the role involves working with young people to help them to enjoy and understand key concepts within English.
The school is situated in North Sheffield and is easily accessible via road and rail. The school is one of the most successful schools in the area not only in terms of academic success, but also with pastoral support. After a year being a learning mentor there is the opportunity to train to teach via the school's teacher training programme.
