Assistant Project Manager (Civil Engineering)
Our client is a large firm of consulting engineers seeking two ASSISTANT PROJECT MANAGERS to work on infrastructure projects including highways, water and waste water, utilities etc.
You will join a specialist infrastructure team working on projects for utilities, water and waste water, highways etc.
Duties will include coordinating feasibility studies, design, planning, procurement and doing construction stage project management.
Our client is a large firm with offices across the UK.
They work in property, engineering, project management and more.
Their clients are in the private and public sectors.
You will need to have a BSc or BSc Hons in either Civil or Structural Engineering.
You will have some post graduate experience working as a Civil Engineer or Assistant Project Manager.
You will be IT literate with experience using AutoCAD and able to use all MS Office programmes.
You will need to have a full driving licence and good communication skills, both written and spoken.
You will ideally have gained some experience of the design of roads, infrastructure, and / or water and waste water projects.
Some experience of programming e.g. MS Project, Primavera etc. would be preferred.
You will take responsibility for the delivery of civil engineering projects, representing the Employer thoughout the full life cycle of projects.
You will assist with feasibility studies, option appraisals, cost plans and business cases.
You will deal with contract documents, drawings and specifications and do construction stage project managemetn including monitoring progress on site, assessing costs for works completed and ensuring quality.
Salary in the range of £20000 to £30000 plus support to become chartered, pension and other benefits.
