Seeking an experienced Teaching Assistant to work 1:1 with pupils in Y1 & Y6 with SEMH

Your new school
A local primary school are recruiting a 1:1 Teaching Assistant to support pupils with Social and Emotional Mental Health (SEMH) for an immediate start. This school is located in a lovely area of the Wirral and seek someone who will fit into their supportive teams.

Your new job
As a 1:1 Teaching assistant your job will be to support a couple of pupils who need nurturing support in Y1 and Y6. The successful candidates time will be split across the 2 pupils and there will be a focus on building positive, meaningful relationships with the named pupils as well as the other children in the classes. You will primarily be supporting the pupil's social development as well as contributing to the child's personal and academic development.

What you'll need to succeed
To be successful for 1:1 Teaching Assistant opportunity, you must have recent and relevant experience as a primary teaching assistant either in a voluntary or paid capacity. You must also have a passion for working with primary aged pupils and be dedicated to making a positive impact on their learning and development. You will have a Level 2 or above qualification or alternatively extensive SEN experience supporting children in the Primary phase who have emotional difficulties or exercise other complex and challenging behaviours. As per Department for Education (DfE) guidelines you will need to be able to provide full identification copies and reference details from the relevant experience you have previously gained in this or a similar setting.
