A fantastic opportunity has arisen for a talented Web Designer to work for a large technology business who can utilize HTML, CSS and JavaScript to develop effective user interfaces on our client’s company website released to the public.

The successful candidate will work closely within a small team with designers in web development and software design to update the website and internal web tools to make them more efficient. The candidate will also be innovative and able to provide solutions to web design issues.

Key responsibilities

§Day to day maintenance of the company website and optimising code for the best user experience.

§Deploy website content and assets to support online marketing campaigns, product launches and other activities.

§Translating requirements, wireframe documents and design mockups into fully functioning features using HTML/CSS and JavaScript.

§Implement responsive web design principles to ensure that our company website renders well across multiple devices

§Assist in the development of applications and features that will be put on the website and in internal functions as well

§Work on the full life cycle development of time sensitive projects.

§Recommend appropriate technologies to implement new features.

§Develop front-end code libraries that can be used for multiple projects.

§Review code, layout, and design for projects.

§Build, deliver, and iterate to help scale projects.

§Contribute to a team of front-end developers, designers, project managers.

§Create new methods for improving efficiency.

Skills & Experience

§Strong understanding of core front-end web technologies (HTML 5, CSS 3, JavaScript).

§Solid experience developing with HTML/CSS/JS.

§Experience with JavaScript and jQuery (Dojo experience a plus).

§Experience with templating systems.

§Develop training material and release notes in line with system change processes.

§Train new/ existing users during various phases of development and implementation including ongoing training and support of the system

§Work closely with the Global CRM Systems Manager ensuring that the master data held within the Global ERP remains up to date and synchronised with the Global CRM Sales and Service suite (SAP Cloud for Customer).

Other key requirements include:

§Robust experience as an ERP Systems Manager/Trainer or Senior System Administrator within a fast-paced global manufacturing environment.

§Extensive knowledge and understanding of ERP, finance and manufacturing business practices.

§Knowledge of the software development lifecycle and professional software development standards.

§Experience of operating and supporting commercial enterprise grade ERP applications.

§Good written and verbal communication skills.

§Proficient use of Microsoft Office, SAP or other ERP products.
