The Clinical Nurse Specialist Responsibilities:The Clinical Nurse Specialist will be expected to have the skills to deal with a very broad range of mental health needs of adults with mental disorders who present in complex needs, undertaking pre admission assessments, developing and supporting best practise in ongoing care and treatment including, clinical risk assessments and risk management plans.Required to make clear autonomous decisions based on an analysis of the complex presenting problems and available treatment options.A programme of Clinical Audit and trend analysisClinical Supervision to the nursing StaffRoot Cause Analysis of Clinical IncidentsThe continuation and further development of best practise and standards within the serviceTraining and mentoring of the staff groupOn call management supportThe Clinical Nurse Specialist Must: Be a member of the PVG (Protection of Vulnerable Groups) Scheme to work with vulnerable adults.
