Job Title - Non - Standard Motor Underwriter

The Role:-

We have an excellent opportunity to join a major Insurance Company to join their expanding Non-Standard Motor Division.

Responsibilities will include:-

The role of the Underwriter includes responsibility and accountability for:
Contributing to the execution of the underwriting strategy for the Class of Business, working within the Syndicates established risk appetite;
Delivering on financial plans including working within financial budgets for the product;
Working with a team of Underwriting Technicians and Underwriting Assistants, contributing to their technical development;
Acting as a point of referral for risks which exceed subordinate underwriters authority;
Case level underwriting in respect of a range of risks including complex risks;
Contributing to the management of portfolio performance through the effective underwriting of all risks, executing remediation action as required;
Close collaboration with all other business segments and functional areas to ensure alignment of the product activities to the wider strategy of the business;
Maintaining business relationships with the major brokers and other distribution partners in close co-operation with the Sales function
Ensure that TCF is a part of the organisations culture and behaviours
Contribute to culture change throughout team and peer groups to ensure alignment with the organisations desired culture through adopting appropriate behaviours
Having significant awareness of and ensuring adherence of self and team members to all regulatory requirements, guidelines and working practices - both internally and externally
