Manage retail trading accounts for RSPCA branded products. Source new contacts and trading deals, create and manage quotes and the set up for new accounts. Ensure a smooth purchasing and delivery process for existing trade accounts. Negotiate pricing and marketing strategies for trade accounts.

Take overall management of the supply of goods and stock management for trade customers. Create and manage a pricing strategy for products available to trade customers and ensure that the relevant stock is available. Generate discount strategies as appropriate.

Manage stock of branded products; create stock plans, forecast ranges, liaise with suppliers to resolve any delivery issues and raise category purchase orders. Ensure that the requisite structures and systems are in place to manage the flow of stock. Manage relationship with various fulfilment houses ensuring stock levels are monitored and sufficient stock is available for retail customers, branches and animal centres and external wholesale customers.

Promote RSPCA pet food, healthcare and branded products to branches and centres. Advise branches and centres on the use and benefits of RSPCA branded products using existing product knowledge. Create pricing strategies to get new centres on-board with the pet food for both internal usage and to retail in their shops. Aid branches and centres with the merchandising of their retail shops.

Assist in the development of a range of RSPCA branded products including developing the approval process of new products and in the creation of branded packaging as appropriate. Be the main contact for trialling and testing new products in animal centres.

The successful applicant should have;/be:

    At least 3 years experience of working in a complex, high volume supply chainExperience of supply of products to wholesale customers from either the supplier or buyer sideEvidence of generating significant new business dealsSupply chain experience in retailUse of a product database to manage stockRelationship management experienceExperience of product development and range buildingExperience of buying or merchandising in either the commercial or charity marketExperience negotiating contracts and competitive prices from suppliersCreating marketing plans for trade customers and copywriting for marketing literatureConfident in dealing with high volumes of data and providing clear and correct analysisKnowledge of pet product category would be an advantageCLOSING DATE 08/12/2017
