When you join us as a Commercial Finance Analyst you will become part of a business with a 40-year old heritage. A migration that is recognised throughout the UK as the most successful resulting in Auto Trader receiving 58.5 million cross platform visits a month, delivering over 250 million advert views to the 13,500 car dealerships that advertise with us.

As part of our Commercial Finance Squad you will drive performance in multiple business areas through great insight and guidance. You will work closely with our BI and Reporting teams to develop and distribute regular reporting suites that show KPI performance relating to business objectives. Adopting our data driven approach, you will perform ad hoc analysis, including financial modelling, that clearly conveys financial and business results. You will also combine internal and external information to accurately forecast performance, advising on key business assumptions, risks and opportunities.

As a trusted analyst you will be embedded in the decision-making process and will objectively challenge and influence stakeholders to help drive decisions that are both commercially compelling and financially secure. In this role you will make a real difference to the business, and not just from a financial perspective; you will influence key decisions affecting our consumers visiting our site, our Retailers and Manufacturers advertising with us, our sales teams, our product teams and our employees!

To succeed in this role you will have experience in a commercial role, working outside of the core finance function with non-finance business stakeholders. You will be able to demonstrate where you have added commercial value and helped shape key business decisions. It is crucial that you are driven by data and will have experience using Excel to create finance models. You will be confident working autonomously, alongside being a great collaborator within the team, sharing knowledge, experience and contributing to the overall objectives of the function. You will be a part / recently qualified CIMA accountant that is a great relationship builder, with experience of managing multiple stakeholders, and have a strong desire to influence and drive better business decisions.

You will have the ability to translate complex financial data into digestible information that you can then clearly communicate to both finance and non-finance audiences. You must also be driven by finding answers and will love asking questions. This will be complemented by your ability to think outside the box and your ability to challenge the norm.
