Exciting opportunity to contribute to the development, review and implementation of appropriate policies and procedures by supporting the Head of Risk and Compliance in the establishment of the Managing Agent.


  • Risk Register: perform regular reviews with risk owners and report on results
  • ORSA Report: contribute to production of annual Syndicate ORSA report
  • Stress and scenario testing: contribute to development and update of stress and scenario testing
  • Risk reporting including ORSA dashboard: contribute to monthly risk reporting and quarterly ORSA dashboard for committee reporting
  • Operational Risk Scenarios: contribute to review and update of operational risk scenarios
  • Risk Reviews: contribute to review of risks on a topical basis as required including emerging risks
  • Internal Model: support internal model governance and documentation including input to validation testing
  • Business Continuity Planning: assist in business continuity planning


Support Managing Agent compliance team in embedding syndicate compliance framework including appropriate training for new and existing employees

  • Lloyd's Minimum Standards: support and co-ordinate minimum standards assessments to ensure syndicate compliance with Lloyd's requirements
  • Compliance support to underwriters - provide support for routine queries including matters requiring referral to managing agent legal and compliance teams
  • Regulatory returns: monitor Lloyd's and other regulatory returns and assist in collation of returns where required
  • Monitoring and analysing new regulatory requirements to ensure disseminated to relevant members of the team and any actions required are agreed
  • Compliance Reporting: support reporting required
  • Compliance monitoring: implement and report on compliance monitoring
  • Regulatory reviews: assist in coordinating as required
  • Compliance Administration for financial services register: when a separate Managing Agent

Qualiifications and Skills

Degree from a recognised University

  • Demonstration of commitment to personal development such as work towards a recognised relevant professional qualification: ACII, Risk management or Accountancy
  • Understanding and experience of risk management frameworks and / or compliance within a London market setting; Lloyd's experience advantageous
  • Good interpersonal skills
  • Good analysis and report writing skills
