My client an award winning Luxury Designer based in East London are currently recruiting for an experienced Pattern Cutter.

Main Duties and Responsibilities

Job description:

·Creating first patterns from design sketches

·Ensuring that all patterns are produced and finalised to the required fit and measurement standards, utilising company blocks while ensuring they reflect to the seasonal silhouette

·Verify conformance of patterns or template dimensions to specifications using measuring instruments

·Measure patterns and apply data accurately into Spec Sheets for Technical team

·Mark identification numbers or symbols onto patterns or templates

·Attending development and production fit meetings and amending patterns accordingly to the requests discussed

·Communicate with in-house Garment Technologists and Product Developers to ensure that finished patterns are produced to the required specification and finishes

·Making production patterns and measuring samples

·General organisation of pattern room

·Mentoring interns

Ideal candidate:

·Must have at least 5 years pattern cutting experience within women's wear

·Strong technical knowledge and experience of garment construction, pattern cutting and textiles across various women's wear categories

. Knowledge of Gerber V10

·Excellent time management skills with the ability to meet deadlines and work well under pressure

·Must have good analytical skills to be able to interpret design sketches into first patterns

·Personable and dependable team player

·Proactive team player with great interpersonal skills

·Great written and verbal communication skills

·Qualification within higher education, preferably in fashion related studies
