This establishment is a privately owned and recently refurbished village pub established in the heart of the tranquil Wye Valley near Ross-on-Wye. They are a 70 cover food led pub that offers high quality menus using fresh local products, seeking an experienced Sous Chef who is as passionate about delivering a great guest experience as they are. Someone who can work closely with the Head Chef, to deliver the vision of the owners.
The successful candidate:
Your role is vital to the overall success of the kitchen. Working at this premium and fresh vibrant busy country pub, you will work closely with the management team, and alongside the Head Chef, in driving this business forward. You must come from a busy fresh food background as well as having strong supervisory skills along with a real drive to succeed and grow. You will be passionate about taking advantage of their fine fresh local produce surrounding us. You will need to be a consummate team player to work closely with the FOH team and be customer focused.
Your main responsibilities will be:
- preparation, cooking and presentation of high quality menus,
- stock control and ordering,
- hygiene due diligence
- supporting the development of any Junior Chefs within the brigade.
