What’s the Job?

Reporting to the Business Unit Manager, you’ll be responsible for the technical support to both customers and the sales team, duties will include:

  • Responsible for PCB design of prototypes; evaluation boards and reference designs
  • Delivering product training to Field Applications Engineers
  • Providing technical support to customers
  • Creating documentation including datasheets, evaluation and application reports.
  • Providing customer support, including training, technical support, troubleshooting, design support and site visits on a European and Worldwide basis
  • Working with the development and marketing teams
What experience do you need?

You’ll already be working within a similar role within the electronics industry, you’ll also need:

  • A degree in electronics / physics (or equivalent)
  • The ability to explain technical data to the non-technical
  • Circuit design (preferably motor control and lighting)
  • A high level of PC skills (Excel/Access/Oracle) – spreadsheet skills are critical and candidates must be able to use analytical tools to manipulate data
  • Strong communication skills (excellent English both written and spoken)
  • Driven and motivated
  • Practical and have a hands on approach
  • Be available for international travel as required.
What are the pay and benefits?

A salary of up to £45,000 is on offer for this role, benefits are excellent and include car parking; pension; cash plan healthcare; cycle to work and childcare vouchers; holidays are 25 days. Hours of work are 8.15am to 4.30pm Monday to Friday.
