This is a superb career opportunity for an ambitious high quality manufacturing professional on an upward curve in their career and with a track record of improving manufacturing operations and blue chip training who would like to further develop their career with an outstanding and rapidly growing specialist manufacturer of precision machined components. Privately owned and on a steep growth curve the company manufactures high quality products used in a variety of OEMs, manufacturers, machine builders and tool makers.

The role reports to the Managing Director with the intention of it developing into an Operations Director role in the short term. As a key member of the senior team you will have responsibility for all manufacturing operations, health and safety, procurement, quality and production planning and the focus will be on achieving the planned growth in output through the use of lean principles.

You will manage delivery (OTIF), lead experienced production teams and achieve this within agreed budget parameters. You will apply your CI skills and also lead organisational change including new factory layout. The client would like to recruit a high potential impressive individual with the desire and ambition to grow with this forward thinking SME to Director Level. You will need have a good quality university degree ideally in an engineering or production discipline and also be extremely computer literate. You will have been trained professionally in world-class manufacturing in your early career and have seen first-hand a specialist manufacturing business which operates to exacting standards of quality and efficiency. You will also need to demonstrate real evidence of change management and productivity improvements.
