Healthcare Assistant/Administrator - Cambridge
As a Health Care Assistant/Administration Assistant in our Radiology Department you will co-ordinate, plan and organise a wide range of business and hospital activities. You will also be required to assist qualified staff during radiological and ultrasound procedures. This hospital has 37 beds and 4 operating theatres for major and minor surgery. We're located to the south of the city centre, within easy reach of public transport. Our Radiology Department, with its state-of-the-art technology, boasts a friendly, dedicated and multi-disciplinary team which is committed to delivering high quality diagnostic imaging, through a range of imaging procedures. This is a challenging role where you will use your organisational skills to the full, as you take responsibility for administrative duties as well as patient care. You'll need a good telephone manner, computer and database skills plus the ability to meet deadlines and follow instructions. You will be required to assist qualified staff during radiological and ultrasound procedures. You will receive, admit and prepare patients for examination. You will also escort patients to and from the wards and prepared the examination room prior to the procedures. Previous experience in a similar role would be an advantage but is not essential. You will need to be a confident and customer-focused communicator with the ability to manage, appraise and interpret the right data, and to present it in a timely and professional manner. Ideally educated to GCSE in English and Maths with NVQ Level 2 in Business and Administration or equivalent, you will have good IT and keyboard skills. Experience within an administrative or customer facing environment would naturally be preferred.
