Accounts/Payroll Assistant - Brentwood
Due to demand our client is looking for an experienced Accounts/Payroll Assistant to work alongside their outsourced Accountants regarding the running of a small department in all aspects of payroll.
The Accounts/Payroll Assistant will be located in their head office based in Brentwood, Essex.
The purpose of the role is to manage all aspects of a high volume of Accounts/Payroll information ensuring the integrity of financial information and that all deadlines are met.
The Accounts/Payroll Assistant will be required to work using their own initiative and experience. They will need strong interpersonal skills and have the ability to present information in different formats. They will also need to have the ability to work under pressure and manage their own priorities; which is a key requirement of the role. This role would suit a motivated and meticulous candidate with excellent organisational skills and the ability to prioritise a demanding workload.
Duties & Responsibilities
Organise and pay supplier invoices
Posting of payments to ledgers
Preparing and processing payment runs
Maintain petty cash
Monitor fixed assets
Record cash receipts and make bank deposits
Run Profit & Loss forecasts
Provide information to the external accountants
Process internal PAYE payroll
Prepare VAT returns
Key skills required:
Knowledge of SAGE & ZERO will be required
Previous experience working within Accounts & Payroll is essential
Flexibility regarding working times at peak periods of the year (end of year)
Full clean driving licence and own transport essential due to location
Temp to Perm position
Part time hours (3 days per week) with flexibility
Salary guideline £13.00ph
