This key role will also see you supporting the Pre-assessment Lead Nurse to deliver the service and taking the lead in her absence. Working with pride, enthusiasm and a real passion for caring, you will explain to patients being assessed their own and others’ responsibilities and identify patients’ health needs through observation, discussion and the use of technical assessment methods. You will also support and advise colleagues on assessment approaches.Ready to put patients at the heart of everything you do, you will be a registered nurse with experience of working in and across multidisciplinary and pre-assessment teams. Teaching and assessment skills will also be essential. Known for your sound clinical judgement, you will bring up-to-date training in infection control and health and safety and a sound understanding of evidence-based practice.
