Salary: £19,382 per annum
Contract: Permanent, Full Time
My client have a unique opportunity for an enthusiastic and motivated Early Years Practitioner to join our team, at an exciting time of unprecedented growth and expansion.
Based from the office in Glasgow, this is a combined post working in two distinct areas of early years' provision:
Working in Prison Settings – 3 days per week (currently funded to 31 March 2019)
You will work in prisons to facilitate participative, shared play and learning sessions with prisoners, their partners and young children. You will plan, deliver and evaluate these sessions as well as a ‘Learning Together Through Play' programme, consisting of a mix of theoretical and experiential learning, all focused around play with young children and its importance in their learning and development. You will encourage positive relationships between parents and children through shared play. You will also work with a range of partners to review learning and contribute to the development of future plans.
Working in Community Settings – 2 days per week (currently funded to 31 March 2018)
You will plan, deliver and evaluate shared play and learning experiences with families and their children aged 0-5 years in our Stay Play and Learn sessions in the local communities of Brucehill and Haldane in West Dunbartonshire. Your role will involve supporting children's learning and development while also fostering positive relationships between parents and children. You will also provide baby massage sessions (training will be given).
Applicants' are required to hold relevant qualifications in-line with requirements to register as a Practitioner with SSSC . (e.g. HNC Early Education & Childcare or SVQ Level 3/4 Children's Care, Learning and Development)
A full, current driving licence with own transport insured for business use and PVG Scheme membership are required.
