Job Title; Payroll Officer - sole charge role

Location; Rochdale

Our Client is looking to appoint a Payroll Officer - sole charge role based at their Head Office in Rochdale. Based within the HR function - the Payroll Officer will be responsible for processing Payroll for over 2000 Employees.

The Payroll is a mix of Monthly and Weekly paid Contracts - our Client works on Sage Snowdrop (experience) - on a day to day basis the key elements of this role will be;

  • Weekly check of Timesheets - high volume
  • Calculation of Stat Payments and Deductions - including Year End and P11d's
  • TAX and NI Calculations
  • Preparation of Pension Payments
  • Calculation of individual Bonus Payments

Along with the management of the Payroll function you will also work across;

  • Maintenance of Health and Safety Manual
  • Weekly and Monthly Reporting
  • Responsible for management of Company Cars

Our Client is looking to appoint someone with Character!! - you will need to have an open mind and be driven to succeed.

The role will demand Advanced Excel skills. You will also need to be able to make manual calculations/

Finally you will need strong written and verbal communication skills.
