Security Engineering Senior Manager
The Security Engineering Senior manager is responsible for leading requirements development and analysis, planning of integration and execution of technical infrastructure solutions to meet sponsor requirements for large projects that cross multiple security domains. Responsibilities include interacting with team leads within function, within and across multiple lines of service and clients as well as leading the overall planning efforts of the various technical domains impacted.
This role is responsible for functional and strategic direction of infrastructure security domain. Requires deep knowledge of multiple security domains as well as optimization strategies. Develops future product/technology roadmaps with a focus on the needs of the business. Makes decisions impacting security architecture and design for large infrastructure services
This role contributes to defining and executing operational excellence including defining (and adherence to) technical standards, design, building, integration, problem-resolution, and associated systems integration. Collaborates with other IFS and LOS global customers/leaders, vendors, providers, and contractors.
The Security Engineering Senior manager will have deep knowledge of the global technology infrastructure in multiple technical domains as well as security service offerings and the Firm's business at a national level. The roles primary responsibility is to work with Global sponsors, Business Analysts and Project Managers as well as contemporaries in Project Services to oversee all aspects of a specific US infrastructure service offering.
•Has deep expertise in particular technical domain area(s) and with the integration of the technical domains in key security applications
•Has deep expertise in execution of System Development Life Cycle methodologies
•Contributes intellectual capital to be leveraged by other engineer managers in order to optimize existing platforms and ensure clear roadmaps of products/platforms
•Has experience of collaborating and leading other security managers to create solutions to complex problems.
The Security Engineering Senior manager is responsible for translating service strategy, lead planning and implementation of major security infrastructure projects and ensuring minimal impact to operations in their respective technical domain.
Scope of responsibility:
The Security Engineering Senior manager is responsible for the effective design, development, creation and delivery of solutions for a global service in the respective technical security infrastructure domain.
•Leads activities to develop, plan, integrate and execute technical infrastructure solutions to meet sponsor requirements in the context of a project team. May serve as security lead of other engineers on a project team
•Engineers solutions and makes decisions to meet security project objectives
•Implements solutions consistently with adherence to global security strategy including PwC best practices
•Develops and maintains security domain roadmaps to continue service improvements and supportability
•Has deep knowledge and experience of the Firm's security systems. Serves as a security expert in multiple technical domains to assist others from inside and outside of formal network
•Develops processes and performs activities to ensure consistent, high quality service/support levels and identify potential problems/trends
•Performs advanced troubleshooting independently as well as part of cross functional teams
•Interacts with other infrastructure engineer seniors, engineer managers, engineer lead managers, project and LOS managers. May interact with other IFS and global LOS customers/leaders, vendors, providers, and contractors
•Creates or leads team to create best practices
•Collaborates with other roles providing or using respective security solution
•Leads and encourages team participation in global and LOS teaming/training
•Demonstrates full ownership of coordination, management and/or participation of small, medium and large full life cycle projects which typically impact multiple groups/large audiences
•Interfaces with various levels or groups within the organization to gain consensus and buy-in from all parties
•Interacts with customers, demand organization and/or functional peer group managers. Interacts with senior functional, NIS or LOS management on moderately complex issues
