Recruiting for Care is one of the UK's leading providers of permanent recruitment solutions to the Nursing, Health and Social Care sectors and we offer bespoke consultancy services to clients and candidates alike.

We are currently recruiting on behalf of a well-established client of ours for a Functional Assessor - Nurse or Physiotherapist to work in Highgate, London. The position will require successful candidates to carry out medical assessments and examinations and produce concise reports for the Department of Work and Pensions as part of a successful integrated team.

Main Responsibilities:
- To undertake a combination of file-work and face-to-face assessments of customers in relation to a variety of benefits and provide a report to the DWP.
- To use IT software programmes to support clinical decision making when undertaking file-work and examinations.
- To provide comprehensive reports to enable decision makers at DWP to make informed decisions regarding benefit claims.

Our client is an international company who run healthcare programmes across the UK, US, Canada and Australia. They are currently working in partnership with the Department of Work and Pensions (DWP) providing Functional Assessments for those in receipt of or claiming benefits.

Candidates must be a registered Nurse or Physiotherapist with 2 years' post-qualification experience.

Job summary:
· Permanent full time position - Monday to Friday
· Local health assessment centres and offices nationwide
· Comprehensive benefits package inclusive of Pension and professional registration fee reimbursement
· Full training provided for which you are paid a full time salary

Minimum requirements:
· Minimum 2 years' post-qualification of broad based healthcare experience
· Eligibility to live and work in the UK
· Full unconditional registration

The salary for the role is £44,500 + benefits.
