Technical Services Manager (Electronic Security)Reporting to the Operations Director £35,000-£40,000 basic (Bradford Based)
My Client are looking for an exceptional, pro-active and energetic individual who thrives in a challenging SME environment, interacting with internal & external customers and being part of a dynamic Technical Services Team.
You will have a proven track record of managing and delivering IT related commercial projects and services within a high quality and safety environment to Corporate or Government clients.
You will provide day to day and strategic management to the entire Technical Services Team (internal staff and contractors) and also liaise with existing customers, delivering an exceptional project management experience, whilst also ensuring brilliant customer support and maintaining required profitability targets throughout.
The role is predominantly desk-based but there are requirements to visit client locations on more complex projects and for audit purposes.
Role Split 80% Project Management 10% Team Management 5% Health & Safety Management 5% Quality Management Responsibilities
? Project management of various simple and very complex commercial technical projects to Prince II standards ? Communication direct with customers to provide professional project management and support functions ? Joint management & supervision of the Technical Services Team of Engineers ? Joint management of the ITIL based technical support process & team in order to professionally support customers to pre-defined SLA’s. ? Management of all technical service delivery and associated SLA’s. ? Full management of the Company Health & Safety System including overseeing production of all RAMS, internal audits & training ? Management of all technical aspects of the Company Quality System and ISO9001 certification ? Manage the production of weekly & monthly technical SLA & KPI reporting to the Senior Management Team and Directors ? As part of the Senior Management Team, assist in ensuring company objectives, financial, safety and quality targets are met or exceeded Essential Capabilities ? Thrive on the challenge of working in an SME business delivering sometimes high value and complex services to large Corporate and Public Sector organisations ? An accomplished commercial project management ability to deliver projects within financial and date timescales, whilst also managing customer expectations and managing change ? A proven understanding of all required Quality and Health & Safety systems required to successfully deliver commercial technical projects. ? Be a strong team player – actively contributing to the development of a successful team ? Strong communication skills ? Be highly organised, focused and analytical, eliminating delivery obstacles through creative and adaptive approaches ? Ability to work methodically with high attention to detail and accuracy ? Ability to manage multiple projects and prioritise constantly changing workloads ? Self-motivated with the ability to work on own initiative ? Ability to take ownership of assigned responsibilities ? Excellent presentation skills both verbal and written ? Must pass BS7858 and government SC enhanced security vetting ? High standard of written English Qualifications/Experience
? Technical knowledge of IT or Electronic Security is preferable but alternatives such as electrical or mechanical will be considered with transferable experience ? Educated to degree level or similar vocational ? At least 5 years’ experience in a similar technical delivery and project management role ? Prince II, ISO9001/ISO14001 auditing, NEBOSH/IOSH qualifications, Microsoft Project and a current safety passport would be an advantage, however specific training will be provided
Salary In the region of £35-40K dependent on experience + team performance related bonus and pension scheme. 20 days holiday (+ Bank Holidays) Work day: Monday – Friday 09:00hrs – 17:30hrs Additional Information
