Teaching Assistant - SEN - Loughborough - Immediate start - Competitive daily rate

Your new company
A Special Needs School based in Loughborough provides learning to pupils aged 5-16+ with a range of Special Educational Needs from moderate to complex learning difficulties. The school are seeking passionate Teaching Assistants for day to day and long term supply cover.

Your new role
You will be supporting predominately within the Primary phase of the school providing 1:1 support as well as working with small groups of children with a range of special educational needs. You will encourage and facilitate development of physical and social skills by supporting activity based learning both inside and outside of the classroom. This work would be directed, planned and overseen by a qualified teacher from the school.

Your main responsibility is to ensure that the children and young people you support maximise their learning potential and work towards positive outcomes.

What you'll need to succeed
You should have experience of working with children and young people with challenging behaviour or complex learning needs including EBD, SEBD, Autism, ADHD or Aspergers. If you have a Team Teach or similar Behaviour Management or safeguarding training that would be desirable.

You will be an enthusiastic Teaching Assistant that can engage and build positive relationships with students and inspire them to get the most out of their education.
