The Continuous Improvement Engineer will have the opportunity to work within a leading provider of wall, roof and landscaping innovations, with 198 production sites and offering in excess of 1000 products. Providing a wide range of building material solutions , including one of the oldest established roofing brands in the UK, crafting handmade tiles and fittings since the 1500s.

The Continuous Improvement Engineer’s Responsibilities are to:

Train and coach teams in Lean tools and techniquesFacilitation of improvement teamsBe a major advocate of the LEAN/CI/PIP ethos and methodologiesDevelopment of continuous improvement projects from initiation through to deliveryEstablish metrics and KPIs to provide plant with quantifiable gauges of results and impact of lean activitiesPrepare and update the Handbook / ManualTo stay up to date with the process improvement tools and techniquesBe prepared to lead a number of projects involving hands-on interaction, good problem solving techniques, generating enthusiasm and supporting the teams.REQUIREMENTS

The Continuous Improvement Engineer will have:

Minimum graduate level or similar in a Manufacturing / Engineering disciplineMinimum 2years’ experience of lean coaching project management skills and experienceStrong team facilitation skills, managing change, teams, coaching and training othersProcess Mapping/ VSM, FMEA, Pareto and Ranking and Process CapabilityThe ability to work under pressure and to strict deadlinesFormal Lean QualificationsSuccessful experience of working with Lean tools and techniques, 5S, OEE, Problem Solving, Kaizen, 7 WastesFlexibility in location as may be required to transfer to another factory within the UKThis is an exciting position for the ideal candidate to thrive and be a part of the continued develop the growth of the business as well their career.
