Hays Accountancy & Finance are being retained to recruit for a leading and rapidly growing Global Payroll Services business based in Cheltenham, Gloucestershire for an Payroll Operations Manager. A great opportunity within a Senior Payroll position to really influence and add value within a market-leading organisation. The position will involve managing a team whilst delivering UK and international payrolls for a range of the organisation's international client base.

Your new role

Reporting into the Global Payroll Director you will supervise, develop and manage a team of eight to ten employees and growing. Being hands-on and working with a large number of international clients on a day-to-day basis in order to professionally deliver a quality payroll service. You be offering full support and advise to the team on all aspects of payroll and software systems. You will be expected to lead projects for process improvement, systems changes and maximising efficiency for client interaction, whilst taking responsibilities for being the primary operations contact point for various countries (developing statutory payroll processes for each of them). You will also work closely the implementations teams to take-on new payrolls and clients whilst assisting in driving the business strategies forward.

What you'll need to succeed

For this exciting senior payroll manager position you must have three to five years of multi-client experience within a complex payroll environment, managing a diverse range of payroll transactions and experience of managing large payroll teams. You must be highly assertive, interactive and have the ability to work under pressure, competent with UK payroll complexities and experience of various pension schemes. Being highly motivated and driven is essential and the ability to build strong relationships. Working with international clients both small and large would be advantageous.
