Ewell Castle School is seeking to appoint an experienced and enthusiastic engineering/product prototype workshop technician to join a thriving Design and Technology Department. The successful candidate will work closely with the DT teachers to assist in the delivery of lessons, support the Department generally and assist the Site Team in technical matters.
No formal qualifications are required, however, experience/competence with maintenance aspects will be an advantage and detailed knowledge of safe working practices in relation to the handling and usage of hazardous equipment and tools is essential. The successful candidate will have the ability to relate to young people and colleagues in a positive and constructive way as well as being able to work both as part of a team and unsupervised.
This role is available from January 2018 although there is flexibility for a candidate to start after Easter 2018 if necessary. Ideally there will be an opportunity for some handover time with the current post holder before the start date.
