SQL Server Developer
We require a SQL Server Developer to work in the IS Team with 3 senior database dba/developers, who are designing, developing, maintaining and delivering our SQL Server solution. The product has been built using Microsoft SQL Server front ended by Python, as well as our transactional database there are Reporting (SSRS) and Warehouse (SSAS) elements as part of the product.
NB This is not a .Net development role, this is a SQL Development role.
A minimum of 4 years experience with SQL Server (2008 R2 upwards)
Strong relational database understanding
A good working knowledge of TSQL
Experience with the MS BI Stack (SSRS, SSIS) potentially SSAS although training will be provided.
Proven ability to quickly learn new systems and tools.
Strong communication skills to work with internal stakeholders
A basic understanding of C# or VB.Net, SSIS and SSRS.
An understanding of release process and dev, uat and production environments.
Good communication skills and outstanding attention to detail.
An understanding of CLR’s.
An understanding of Python.
Any understanding of Kimball methodology.
