Project Engineer - Automation / Manufacturing / Material Handling

£47,000 + Pension, Benefits, Training & Development

I am currently looking to recruit a Project Engineer to join my client based in Purfleet, Essex.

Vacancy description

The Project Engineer has the responsibility for taking initial project concepts through to presentation and on to final delivery. Working to schedule, specification and within budget to support growth, reduce operating cost and improve efficiency for the manufacturing facility.

The Project Engineer will be responsible for;

·Design, costing and implementation of all aspects of project work

·Ensure all new installations comply with requirements of H&S legislation, IPPC permits, HACCP, GMP etc.

·Maintain safety/reliability of existing equipment during project implementation.

·Translation of business requirements into an engineering requirements, in a fast pace, dynamic environment.

·Produce all necessary documentation for commissioning, training, maintenance and maintain all records required by legislation, policies etc.

·Communication Skills – appropriate commissioning of data capture followed by analysis and presentation of results to inform the stage gate decision process

·Stakeholder management through clear and regular communication of development cycle progress, risk , risk mitigation and roadmap

·Health and Safety – Ensuring all projects meet appropriate health and safety legislation

We are looking for someone with;

·Educated to Bachelor level preferably in Chemical or Process Engineering or similar discipline

·5+ years’ experience in Project management

·Knowledge of Maximo and Impact required

·Microsoft Project desirable & proficient in the use of Microsoft Office

·The work requires access to all parts of the refinery internally as well as externally. Temperatures are highly variable throughout the year. Access and working at height through stairs, fixed ladders or scaffold is required. Manual dexterity and some manual handling are required.
