We are currently recruiting for our 2017 Graduate Recruitment scheme. As part of this scheme we have a structured initial learning program for 3 months followed by our continuous learning program. We are hiring for the role of a Control Systems Engineer to provide support to the customer predominantly in Avionics Software Design, Development and Verification & Validation and Certification areas as per DO-178B guidelines.

Key Accountabilities:

Knowledge of gas turbine control-systems and aircraft operationsDevelop next generation Control System ArchitecturesDelivering cutting-edge, safety critical technology to highly demanding customers worldwideAnalyse and translate system requirements into a set of validated and robust requirements for component design engineers. Work with hardware and software engineers to provide a suitable system, including desk reviews and formal board reviews. Ensure complete configuration management and change control Show compliance to standards including demonstration to the certification authorities. Perform internal and external customer liaison Perform thorough requirements based and robustness testing (target-in-the-loop testing). Knowledge in high-integrity software engineering processes Tools:

Fundamental Competence in Ada and/or C/C++ Knowledge in the use of Simulation and Modelling tools such as MATLAB and Simulink.Experience / Exposure of embedded code generation and integration to the target environment will be an advantage.Other Skills:

A minimum 2:1 in MEng or MSc in Control and Instrumentation engineering/Software/Mechatronics engineering major* Due to the nature of this role and the possibility of European travel, candidates are expected to satisfy the requirements for free movement of workers within the EU Member States (which may include, for example, a requirement to hold a valid EU passport).
