SEN Teaching Assistant
Seeking a patient experienced Teaching Assistant to support Complex Needs and Moderate learning difficulties

Hays Education are currently working with an established setting in Birmingham that supports students with moderate learning difficulties and complex needs. This Birmingham based setting is well resourced and has good facilities and pupils' focused approach to learning. They provide support to pupils across KS1 -KS5, who have a variety of Special Education Needs and Disabilities (SEND).
Your new role
I am recruiting for a number of roles. In addition to short term day to day bookings, this is a long term job opportunity and this job role is working 1:1 with individuals with complex needs. In this role you will build a strong rapport and support a pupil with mobility restrictions and complex needs. This MALE pupil will need to be supported with aspects of personal care. The job role will involve supporting them during lunch time as well as lesson and will possibly involve liaising having a dialogue with pupil parents to give feedback and other health care professionals. The purpose of the job is to ensure participation in learning and pupil progress. What you'll need to succeed
To be suitable for this role you should be a passionate, outcomes focused person, with experience of working with children or young people or adults with Complex Needs, Moderate Learning Difficulties, Complex Needs and/ or Autism. You will be a have a minimum of 40 days experience, in the last 2 years, of working in schools and/ or care settings, SLD, ASD or PMLD settings, which you can get referenced. You will be passionate about working with children/ young people to achieve the best of their potential.
