THE JOBWe are currently searching for proactive and customer focused 1st / 2nd Line Support Engineer support our infrastructure on premise, co-location and cloud hosted environments.

As a Systems Engineer, you will provide 1st and 2nd line support for our products while ensuring that our environments are scalable, resilient and secure. This opportunity is perfect for someone who would like to further their career in the payments industry.

You will be performing the following:

•Be actively involved in the management and monitoring of CashFlows environments, following the quality standards defined by the operations team and PCI-DSS.

•Contribute to departmental practices, helping ensure that compliant and auditable processes are in place.

•Manage and maintain flexible and scalable monitoring systems for customer facing Issuing systems (at hardware, OS and product level), that deliver an appropriate level of detail (through dashboards and drill-downs) in a timely and compliant manner.

•Provide 1st and 2nd line support for the infrastructure in testing and production Issuing systems including the diagnosis, resolution and preventing of errors for financial transactions within the Issuing systems.

•Perform scheduled maintenance, and manage system upgrades to ensure minimal downtime.

•Escalate live issues promptly once cause has been established, in line with our procedures and best practice.

WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FORA great education impresses us but relevant experience and a proven track record puts you ahead of the competition.

The ideal candidate will have relevant qualifications in Microsoft and at least one year’s commercial experience providing 1st line support. This role primarily involves Windows Server 2012 and any experience in AWS or Azure would also be a bonus. In addition, you will understand the needs for robust change control procedures and be comfortable monitoring severs and intrusion detection systems.

WHAT YOU GET IN RETURNBasic salary for the 1st / 2nd Line Support Engineer will be awarded and based simply on what you bring to the business. We are a fair employer who believes strongly in a close relationship between performance and reward. However, an indication of basic salary is always useful, so our expectations are in the region of £28,000 to £40,000 per annum.
