Baltic Training are excited to be working with Interact IT to recruit for a Software Developer Apprentice to join their small team based in Chorley.
Interact IT have been programming applications and building websites since 1995. Some of the services they offer include custom built web services, bespoke admin systems, web design and e-commerce systems. Interact IT aim to get the requirements of their client's right meaning that they get what they need and don't pay for the things they don't need.
They are now looking for an outgoing and confident individual to join their successful business.

When it comes to apprenticeships, research shows that apprentices can earn up to £4,000 more per year than their peers. Alongside this, all apprentices are entitled to other benefits such as pension and national insurance contributions, and also paid holiday entitlement. You will be working alongside existing staff and be mentored and trained to carry out the following duties:
- Create custom applications.
- Building websites.
- Working on SEO and PPC.
- Supporting team members.
Training to be provided:
- Advanced Apprenticeship in Software Development.
- Software Development Environment, Roles and Structure.
- Software Data, Interfaces & Security.
- Software Development Processes.
- Developing Code Using Good Practices & Logic.
- Software Development Requirements.
- Functional Skills; ICT, Maths and English Level 2.
Skills and qualifications required:
- An understanding of PHP and MySQL.
- Graphic Design experience.
- Website Design experience.
The future is bright
Upon completion of the 12 month programme, there are real progression opportunities available. Along with your employer, you may decide to progress onto our level 4 programme and take your training even further.
Salary, hours and benefits
- £150 per week.
- Full time (37.5 hours per week).
Location and travel
Their office is based in Chorley Town Centre and is a short walk from both bus and train stations.
