Our outpatient centres include The Shard Outpatient service with its 78 consulting rooms, 120 and 31 Old Broad Street in the City, City of London Medical Centre at Tower Hill and Docklands Healthcare in Canary Wharf. Job DescriptionAs the Senior Sister/ Senior Charge Nurse you will ensure the highest quality of practice and care through effective monitoring of own and others clinical competence. To work in a manner which reflects London Bridge Hospital's vision; 'world class care, world class service, world class people' and Leading the clinical management of OPD, to include support and mentorship of junior staff, acting as a clinical expert and role model.This is a full time role working 37.5hrs per week (7.5hr day working Monday - Friday between 7am and 9.30pm with 1 in 8 weekends).The attractive and competitive salary for this role is £44,925-£50,541 plus benefits and will be dependent upon skills and experience.Closing date: 12/12/2017Please note we will close this role early if suitable number of applications are receivedDuties & ResponsibilitiesThe post holder is accountable to adhere to the NMC standardsResponsibility for the area and managing the day to day operational and clinical area providing feedback to the clinical managerOrganisation of clinics to ensure smooth, efficient operationsTo be a safe practitioner in medication safety/anticoagulation training and teach othersEnsure correct labelling and transport of specimensThe post holder is accountable to adhere to the NMC standardsResponsibility for the area and managing the day to day operational and clinical area providing feedback to the clinical managerOrganisation of clinics to ensure smooth, efficient operationsTo be a safe practitioner in medication safety/anticoagulation training and teach othersEnsure correct labelling and transport of specimensProficient in Wound Care ManagementChaperoning and assisting medical staffCarry out observations, investigations and treatments as requiredClosing and opening of OPDMaintain stock levels of supplies/equipmentAdministrative duties as requiredTo adhere to HCA policies guidelines and current legislation including Health and Safety, Equal Opportunities, Infection Control Data protectionYou will need to be familiar and knowledgeable on cardiac arrest - undertake ILS/BLS trainingIt is the post holder responsibility to report to the appropriate person any accidents, defects and safety hazard in the workplace.
