Workshop Engineer (Cranes)


Circa £30,000 + Overtime + Holidays + Pension

Workshop Engineer required for a rapidly expanding company based in Aylesbury. The role is mainly workshop based with some accompanied site work. You will handle the installation, maintenance and testing of safe load indicators on the crane fleet.

The role will suit an electrically biased engineer, coming from a forklift, HGV, plant or crane background and will be able to read electrical and hydraulic diagrams.

The company are looking to increase their headcount by 20% in the next year, hence they are looking for another skilled engineer to join their team. You will join a small team and be responsible for the installation of safe load indicators and control panels, the quality inspections of crane exports, and being involved in the service, maintenance and repair of cranes and lifting equipment.

The company will provide full product training on the job and do offer both internal and external training courses in order to develop your own knowledge and skill. This is a Monday to Friday days based role, with overtime available paid at a premium rate.

The role:

* Installing safe load indicators and control panels

* Quality inspection

* Maintenance, service and repair

* Visit sites to repair defects

* Maintain and improve health and safety in the workplace

The person:

* Electrically biased engineer

* Read electrical and hydraulic diagrams

* Apprentice trained or equivalent engineering qualification

* Electrical installation experience

* Understanding of health and safety requirements
