Derby - City Do you care about giving good support; if you do then this is the job for you! We need staff who are energetic, compassionate, motivated and can work on their own initiative that can support people to gain skills in their daily lives and achieve great things such as going to college or learning to cook. We provide care and support to adults with learning disabilities and/or Autism. We support groups of people who live in their own homes as well as supporting people for a few hours a week. If you like to travel then this is a great opportunity for you due to us having locations around Derby City and Derbyshire. We're looking for someone with a great heart to come and work as an experienced Support Worker on part or full time contract working in various locations. Your role will be to empower people to be more independent and to enable them to be part of their local community. Is the role demanding? … Depends on you! Is it hard work? … What's hard work to you and me! Is it rewarding? … Always! The individuals we support enjoy a lot of community access, so confidence in lone working is essential. We are therefore looking for Support Workers with previous experience who can hit the ground running. However we will still provide a full training programme that is specific to the needs of the individuals we support.
